Eligibility for First Year D.Pharm...

Candidate should be an Indian Nationality and should have passed the HSC (Std. XII Science) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination.

Admission Procedure...

The admission procedure for D. Pharm. Is as per the Directorate of State Govt. & Director Technical Education Mumbai.

The fee structure for D.Pharm will be decided by Shikshan Shulk Samitti, Govt. of Maharashtra.

General Rules Regarding Fees & Admission...

Admission in Two Year Diploma Course of Pharmacy made according to rules & regulations laid down by, Director of Technical Education, Mumbai.

The candidate should have taken admission by paying necessary tuition, development and other fees and should have submitted original certificates before he/she applies for cancellation. In case candidate fails to submit any of the original documents within the allowed time limit, (i.e., four working days after the date of allotment) the admission shall be treated as cancelled. Refund of fees shall not be applicable to such candidates.

The Rules for Cancellation of Admission and Refund of Fees on Cancellation.

The candidates who has been admitted through CAP may cancel admission by submitting an application in duplicate, in the prescribed Proforma (available with institute's Office) and may request for refund of tuition fees. The refund of fees as applicable shall be made in due course of time.

For such refund of fees to the candidates admitted the rules made by DTE ftom time to time shall be applied. (see Table) Same rules will be applicable to candidates admitted in management Quota & Vacant Seats after Centralized Admission Process.

Departments & Laboratories

the following departments & laboratories have been established according to the norms of AICTE for pharmaceutical education.

1) Department of Pharmaceutics & Pharmaceutical Technology

a) Pharmaceutical Laboratories

Three well furnished laboratories cater to the practical requirements of the subject Technology of Drugs & Cosmetics, Bio-pharmaceutics & Dosage form Design, Biological Pharmaceutical, Physical Pharmaceutical Dispensing Pharmacy,Pharmaceuticals Engineering & Unit operations.

b) Hospital & Clinical Pharmacy Laboratories

A Fully dedicated laboratories equipped with necessary facilit for carrying out practicals of D. Pharm in the subject of HCP.

2) Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry

A) Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratories

Two well furnished laboratories provide facilities for practical training in pharmaceutical medicinal chemistry, Practical training is also offered in organic chemistry, biochemistry & inorganic chemistry with well designed experiments.

B) Sophisticated Instruments Laboratory

Equipped with the latest state-of-art analytical instrument, this laboratories assists the students to acquire hands-on training on these instruments. It imparts students practicals training in pharmaceutical and analytical chemistry and assist in research work. The Laboratory include sophisticated analytical instruments like HPLC, HPTLC,GC, IR,UV visible spectrophotometer, Spectrophotometer etc.

3) Department of Pharmacology

A) Pharmacology & Advanced Pharmacology Laboratories

well equipped laboratories help train the students in practicals studies of anatomy physiology and health education, pharmacology and chemotherapy, bioassays of various drugs, etc. The advanced pharmacology laboratory is specially designed to cary our animal model experiment for analgesic, anti-histaminic. Antipyretic anti- hepatotoxiz, anti-ulcer. Anti- inflammatory activity testing of known and new drugs of chemical and herbal origin.

4) Department of Pharmacognosy Pharmacognosy & Advanced Pharmacognosy

Studies on drugs from herbal origin is increasing day by day. These laboratories assist the students acquire skills of identification, morphological and microscopical studies, isolation, estimation, pharmacological uses and formulation aspects of various medicinal and aromatic plants of traditional value. Special f acilities have been created to impart training in tissue culture techniques.

Discipline....

All the Students live as a member of the same family in perfect harmony. There are no group clashes, unfair means in Examination and ragging. We are having atmosphere for the academic development, physical development & cultural development of the student. We personally take care of the students Parents receive regular information about their wards. The Students are given best possible instructions not only in the classrooms but also through well-planned for getting knowledge about industry. It also enhances the interaction between the college and industry. Annual Gatherubg, College Magazine, Souvenir are the added attractions.

Students have to attend all theory and laboratory hours during working days from the first day of the academic year. In case of absebce due ti unavoidable circumstances, prior permission from the Principal is to be taken. In case of sickness, students will have produce a Medical Certificates with an application from their parents or guardians. In sych a case, parents/guardians should inform the authorities immediately.

During the teaching hours, the main lobby, all the corridors and the area surrounding the library are to be observed as silent zones. Students cause any disturbance such as loud noise or vehiele horns in these zones shall be liable to pay a fine, at the discretion of the authorities.

Students should strike a proper balance between extra-curricular activities & academic requirements. Student's participation in extra-curricular activities will not be allowed to interfere in their academic schedule.

Students will not indulge in any kind of misconduct or indiscipline within or outside the campus.

Students will not indulge in any anti-social activities and will not form a grout causing any hindrance to the academic & administrtive activities of the college. Those who will do so will be punished and discipllinary action will be taken by the authorities.

Students shall not damage the property of the instirute. Cost of such damage will be recovered from the students, parents, guardians of the students.

Students are strictly prohibited from possessing or consuming tobacco, tobacco product and narcotics drugs in & out of the campus.

Regging & such activities inside or outside the campus are strictly prohibited by law.

Breach of rules will make the students liable for police action and would result into cancellation of admission to the course.

List of Documents Required

At The Time of Admission...

At the time of admission students are required to produce the following documents,

  • For a proof of date of Birth :- SSC Certificate or School/College.

  • Leaving Certificate and Certificate of Domicile/Nationality Certificate.

  • Statements of Marks of 10th std. Examination.

  • Statements of Marks of 12th std. Examination.

  • Transfer certificate from Institution in which student has studied last.

  • Migration certificate (for student who have joined any other course after 12th)

  • Attempt Certificate from the School/college.

  • Gap Certificate(if applicable)

  • Character Certificate from a Responsible person.

  • Certificate of Medical Fitness

  • An affidavit in the given format signed by the student and countersigned by his parent/guardian.

  • Six Recent Passport-size photographs with his name written backside.

  • The amount or Tution Fees, other fees .

  • Caste Certificate & Caste Validity

  • Certificate issued by Govt. of Maharashtra.

  • Non creamy layer certificate for OBC/NT category.

  • Income Certificate(If Applicable)

    Action Against Ragging
  • The Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act 1999, which came in to existence from 15 May 1999 has the following provisions for Action against Ragging.

  • Ragging with in or outside off any educational institution is prohibited.

  • Whosoever directly or indirectly commits, participates in, abets or propagates ragging within or outside any educational institution shall on conviction be punished with imprisonment for a term up to 2 years and or penalty which may extent to Rs. 10,000/=

  • Any student convicted of an offense of ragging shall be dismissed from the educational institution for period of 5 years form date of order of such dismissal.

  • Whenever any student or as the case may be there, the parent or guardian or teacher of the institute complains in writing about ragging to the head of educational institure shall, without prejudice to the foregoing provisions with in 7 days of receipts of complaints enquire into the matter mentioned in the complaint and if prima facie, it is found true, suspend the student who is accused of the offence and shall immediately firward the cimplaint to the police station having jurisdiction over the area in which the educational institution it is found that there is no substance, prima facie, in complaint received, he/she shall intimate the fact in writing to the complaint. The decision of the educational institution shall be final.

  • If the head of educational institution fails or neglects to act in the manner specified in secton 'd' above when a complaint of ragging is made, such person shall be dimmed to have abetted the offence and shall on conviction be punished as provided for in section 'b' above.
